Skrills have three short spines on their chin. The Skrill's 'crown' can be used to steer the dragon.

These spines are metallic in nature and conduct the arcing electricity that it uses as its unique firepower. The Skrill possess a crown of spikes on its head which are all about the same length. The Skrill has large wings and spines on its back and tail. Its center core glows very brightly, although it is unknown if the bolts are actually electric or if they are just ornamental. The eggs are surrounded by lightning bolts zapping around them. The color of the hatchling will match the color of the eggs. Skrill eggs are round and usually come in shades of blue or purple.

The spiny Skrill attacks with balls of lightning more powerful than any natural storm. They can summon lightning to shoot electrical blasts. A jolt from the Strike Class, this Dragon is among the most feared Dragons. The Skrill is a medium-sized Strike Class dragon that was first mentioned in How to Train Your Dragon and first appeared in Book of Dragons.
